FLNNC Events:

Children’s Aid & Family Services:  Our children are so fortunate to have the lifestyle that they have and to have a family’s love and support.  However, sometimes they do not appreciate what they have and so this is an opportunity to help our children to realize and appreciate all that they have while bringing joy into another child’s life. Throughout the school year we will be planning aactivities and holiday parties to bring the children of FLNNC and CAFS together to get to know each other and share in the celebration of various holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas/Hanukah, Valentine’s Day, etc.

On Going Opportunities:

Oasis: A Habitat for Women and Children – The Franklin Lakes Community has served meals at Oasis for some time. OASIS recently moved into a new facility on Mill Street in Paterson. There is gated parking for volunteers.

Donations to Oasis: Clothing, toys, book donations can be brought to OASIS the first week of each month. Contact Chris Ordway (ENOrdway@aol.com) to see if someone from FL will be going to serve lunch and can take your donations!

Franklin Lakes Valley Hospital Auxiliary: A small group of Franklin Lakes residents have been serving lunch at Kurth Cottage at Valley Hospital for several years. Please contact Christine Ordway (ENOrdway@aol.com) if you are interested in joining or volunteering as a waitress at Kurth Cottage.

Until this year, Franklin Lakes didn’t have an auxiliary for Valley Hospital. Thanks to Ann Swist (amswist@prodigy.net), Eileen Leone (paddlelady@aol.com), June Linz and Linda Barba (BarbaL@aepinc.com), Franklin Lakes now has an auxiliary.
